As I wrote this song, I actually remember crying... WAY TO START IT OUT HAPPY, JOEL. GAAAASH.
But honestly, this song's probably one of my favorites. So that's a good sign, right? (Cough, cough, pay for this one, cough cough cough) I used to be able to just sit back and watch relationships bash each other back and forth, and I just couldn't understand it. So I wrote about it. But even when I got into a relationship of my own, after writing this, I still couldn't understand why I would ever bash my best friend... Yet we still both actively do it. So, to all those star-crossed lovers out there who wonder why in the world you crumple up that only workable puzzle piece... Just know that you're not alone. It's just hard to remember how hard you love someone because our brains are just as star-crossed as our hearts.
